WALTHAM, MA - 17 May, 2017 - inStream (www.instreamglobal.com), a leader in value channel receipt-based marketing, announced today that Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Doherty, has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Doherty joined inStream in 2016 as CMO and has played an integral role in shaping the strategic growth of inStream’s SmartConnect product capabilities, insights and analytics expertise, and marketing opportunities to meet the needs of advertisers, channel partners and their customers.

“As we strive to achieve the aggressive growth and revenue goals we have set for ourselves, Michael will be essential to driving inStream’s continued success forward as we expand our retailer network, broker new complementary strategic partnerships and create new business solutions and products to benefit both our advertiser and retailer clients,” said Dekkers Davidson, inStream’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. “His leadership experience and industry knowledge will propel inStream to the next level as we build out our suite of services to complement our core product and value proposition.”

In his new role as COO, Doherty will be responsible for fostering a results-oriented culture, driving cross-functional synchronization and impeccability in communications, and eliminating impediments to success. He will develop and implement strategic direction for the Marketing, Sales, Operations and Engineering teams, for increased day-to-day operations efficiency and team collaboration.

“I am excited to continue driving our strategic mission forward through the development of a strong operations structure here at inStream,” said Doherty. “We are poised for an evolution in our service offering through new and unique partnerships, and our team is determined to meet the challenge of delivering these enhanced capabilities to our expanding retail network.”

Before joining inStream, Doherty was Vice President of Product Development and Business Analytics at Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX), a mobile payments and commerce platform for merchants representing one-third of annual US retail spend. Prior to MCX, Michael spent ten years in Silicon Valley, working with early stage start-up companies on marketing and communication strategy, and was head of the North American telecoms practice for Ovum, a global research and consulting firm.
