inStream Delivers Over 20 Billion Ads…

WELLESLEY, Mass. (January 18, 2017)—inStream announced today that it has reached a milestone of 20 billion ad impressions delivered across its value channel retailer network with the SmartConnect Receipts marketing solution.

Since 2008, we have recognized the potential of partnering with the fast-growing value channel retailers such as Dollar General, Family Dollar and fred’s Pharmacy to launch our SmartConnect Receipts – ads printed on the front of these retailer receipts based on customer-specific purchase data,” said Dekkers Davidson, inStream’s Chairman & CEO.

 

The value channel segment is the retail industry’s bright spot, seeing large sales gains since 2010, from $28 billion to an estimated $42 billion, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.5% according to Forbes. This growth is attracting leading companies to advertise with inStream.

Recently, inStream conducted a shopper survey of value channel customers to determine the effectiveness of their SmartConnect Receipts product and found:

 

       67% have unaided awareness and regular use of SmartConnect ads on receipts

       72% said SmartConnect Receipts was the best way to learn about new offers

       65% purchased products at the store issuing SmartConnect Receipt ads vs. where they usually shop
